Do's And Don'ts Of New Marijuana Law In Denver

What Can You Do With The New Marijuana Law In Denver?

As you should know by now, marijuana is legal in Colorado and other parts of the world as well.  It is important though, to remember that you cannot simply take out a bong in the middle of the street and start hitting it, as there are some do's and don'ts about these new cannabis laws.  In this blog post, we will tell you about a new marijuana website, which Denver City officials have launched, in order to explain exactly what you can do with the new marijuana law.
This website, is very easy to navigate through and it really does answer some of the most common questions about what is really legal in Denver and what is not.  In the website we are telling you about, you will find answers to questions like, "Is it legal to drive while you are high?" or "is it legal to consume cannabis in public?".  (The answer to both of these questions is yes, if you were wondering!)

The New Denver Marijuana Do's & Don'ts Website

The goal of Denver's cannabis website, is to provide clear information of what people can now do related to marijuana in this city.  Groups such as, Denver Public Schools, AAA Colorado and Denver Health, helped to provide useful information in this site and to answer some of the questions, that many people have right now.
The site, is also meant to provide marijuana facts, which will help to open up the eyes, of those people who are still uncertain about the benefits of this herb.  There is a lot of misinformation out there and it has been promoted for more than 70 years.
At the Denver marijuana site, you will find four different categories, divided into parents, residents or visitors, businesses and home growers.  Questions, related to each group, can be found in each segment, which is why this site is so easy to get around.
The website's URL is and I am sure that it is going to help a lot of you; (especially those people who are lucky enough to live in Denver and for those who will be traveling to this city soon.)
Please remember to share and like this blog post, so that more people can read about this marijuana site and be ready, when they are trying to smoke out in Denver.  You can also subscribe to our mailing list, by leaving us your email in the box to the right and we will keep you informed about other things related to cannabis and the wonders of this herb.

Colorado Resorts Are Getting Ready For Marijuana Tourism

Tourists Are Coming To Colorado Resorts For Marijuana

Many of the ski resorts and mountain towns in the State of Colorado, are now getting ready for a larger number of tourists, as they will now be able to purchase some legal marijuana in these towns.  It has already been one year, since Colorado admitted the use of recreational marijuana and on January 1st, 2014, more stores will be offering this herb, to people who are only over 21, without mattering where they are from or if they have a medical cannabis card or not.
State officials, now accept marijuana as they do alcohol in Colorado, which is certainly something that we all hope to happen around the world one day.  Today, some companies in Colorado, are now offering "marijuana tours", which will take tourists sight seeing and provide them with some delicious cannabis as well.  These tours, are already enticing a lot of people to make a trip to this State and it is why many resorts and mountain towns, are getting ready for the large number of visitors that they will soon have.

Police Are Weary Of Marijuana Tourism

All of this, is also making Colorado Police Officers, a little weary, as they have never experienced anything like this and they do not know what to expect.  At Zip 420, we really believe that nothing bad will happen and that police officers in Colorado, will not have much more work, than they normally do.  People who smoke cannabis recreationally, do not tend to do irrational things and I really don't think that they will do anything to alter the peace in these new marijuana friendly region of the world.
There are also some marijuana laws that are not very well understood by many, like not being able to smoke in public areas or in a moving vehicle or to sell cannabis to another adult, which is why you should do a little research about this, before you go smoking in public on the streets of Colorado.
The marijuana tours for example, are not allowed to sell cannabis to their guests, but they offer it as a free gift, just as they give out sodas and other snacks.  This allows them to get around the law of not being able to sell marijuana to other adults and this is why we are looking at an "Old West" type of deal here.
It will certainly be exciting to see what happens in Colorado in the next couple of months and what other States do, to make marijuana legal too.  It is a fact, that economy will improve in this State and it will not be long, until other US States and other countries start to do the same.
Please remember to share and like this article, so that more people can ready about the marijuana tourism that is coming to Colorado, in the next few months.  You can also subscribe to our free newsletter, by leaving us your email in the box to the right and we will keep you informed about other interesting marijuana news.

A New Marijuana Bill In New Jersey

New Jersey Might Allow People To Buy Marijuana Edibles

As more people favor the legalization of cannabis, the State of New Jersey, is now looking for options to make this herb legal for medicinal purposes and to help its citizens.  It is obvious that marijuana can help a lot of people and cannabis edibles, are certainly one of the best options for this.
The bill is called the marijuana reciprocity bill and it would allow, citizens of New Jersey, to purchase cannabis at medical marijuana dispensaries located in other States of the US.  People from places outside New Jersey, would also be able to purchase cannabis in medical marijuana dispensaries, located in within the State, as long as they have the approval from a doctor and their medical marijuana card with them.
The amounts of marijuana that these patients would be able to purchase, would be controlled, but this bill would certainly allow a lot of people, to have their medicine, no matter what State they are in.  Although Governor Christie, is not in favor of this bill, there are lots of people who are and many families with young children, who benefit from medical marijuana, are already convincing others, about the real benefits of this herb.
Brian Wilson, is the father of a little girl, who suffers from life threatening seizures and doctors have already prescribed medical marijuana to treat her disease.  Mr. Wilson, has been trying to convince Governor Christie about the benefits of marijuana on his daughter and what it could do for the rest of the world.
Mr. Wilson, has even implored the Governor, for his daughter's life and there is really no reason, why Christie should be able to decide, if this little girl can use marijuana as a medicine or not.
Hopefully, this bill is passed in New Jersey soon and people who really need marijuana as a medicine, will be able to get their herb, in dispensaries within the State and other parts of the US as well.  It is time to legalize and we all need to support this today.
Please remember to like and share this article, so that more people can read about the "Marijuana Reciprocity Bill" and support it now.  You should also subscribe to our free mailing list, to get the latest news and facts about marijuana, right in your inbox.

Did Jesus Use Cannabis Oil For His Miracles?

Was Cannabis Oil Part Of Jesus' Life?

There are many theories and beliefs, about whom Jesus really was and how he was able to perform so many miracles.  Today, scientists have admitted to the miraculous healing powers of cannabis and now, some are thinking that Jesus, might have used some kind of cannabis oil, to perform many of his so called miracles.
The Old Testament, has a recipe for anointing oil and it talks about a plant known to our ancestors as, "kaneh-bosm" (fragrant cane, in Aramaic).  The Old Testament states, that nine pounds of this plant, were mixed with six quarts of olive oil, as well as with some myrrh, cinnamon and cassia extracts.  This oil, would then be applied to the patient's skin and it would be allowed to be absorbed by them.
Bible scholars, have stated that the "250 shekels of kanen-bosm", is actually referring to a plant known as calamus, but Chris Bennet, who is the author of a book titled "Sex, Drugs and Violence in the Bible", states that this idea is wrong and that the plant that the Old Testament is describing in that recipe, is actually cannabis. Bennet believes, that the first Old Testament translation, was wrong and that they misinterpreted the ancient words, when translating this book to Greek.

Could Jesus Have Actually Used Cannabis Oil?

In 1963, Sula Benet, who was a Polish etymologist, claimed that the word cannabis, was all over the Old Testament and that this proved, that our ancestors, actually used this herb, for medicinal purposes and entertainment as well.  Benet's exact words were, "in the original Hebrew text of the Old Testament, there are references to hemp, both as incense, which was an integral part of religious celebration and as an intoxicant."

According to Benet, the ancient word for cannabis was kaneh-bosm, also known in ancient Hebrew as kannabus or kaneh.  "Kan" actually means "reed" or "hemp" and "bosm", means "aromatic", which is why it is now believed, that cannabis might have been an important part, of our ancestors' lives.
The word "kaneh-bosm", appears five times in the Old Testament and it can be found in the books of Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Song of Songs and Exodus.  This word, was mistakenly translated as calamus, by old Greek translators and this is why, nobody has ever thought about Jesus performing some of his miracles, with the help of cannabis oil.
If this theory is right,  many of the miracles that Jesus performed, might have a very simple explanation today, as we now know that cannabis is excellent for treating multiple sclerosis, glaucoma, neurodegenerative conditions and skin diseases; all of which, might have seem as demons or demonic possessions, a little over 2000 years ago.
Even if the levels of THC in ancient cannabis, were not as high as they are today, Jesus could have very well cooked a cannabis oil, potent enough to help some sick people and thus, performing tons of miracles.
If you read Exodus 30:31, you will find these words, "This shall be a holy anointing oil to me throughout your generations.  It shall not be poured on anyone's body, nor shall you make any like it in the same proportions; it is holy, and it shall be holy to you.  Whoever shall mix any like it or whoever puts any of it on a layman shall be cut off from his people."
In Mark 6:13, you will find these words, "They cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick and healed them."  According to Carl P. Ruck, who is a professor of classical mythology at Boston University, "There can be little doubt about a role for cannabis in Judaic religion.  There is no way that a plant so important as a fiber source for textiles and nutritive oils and one so easy to grow, would have gone unnoticed...the mere harvesting of it would have induced an entheogenic reaction."
So whether you believe in Jesus and his miracles, or not, there are certainly many people who believe that cannabis oil was a very important part of this and new proof, is being released every day.  Please remember to share and like this article, so that more people can read about the possibility of Jesus having used cannabis oil to perform some of his miracles.  You can also subscribe to our free mailing list, by leaving your email in the box to the right, so we can send you more interesting information right to your inbox.

Uruguay Finally Legalizes Marijuana

Marijuana Is Legal In Uruguay

We have told you about Uruguay's intentions in this blog in the past and their plans, have finally become a reality.  Today, marijuana is now legal in Uruguay and this will really help other countries to make a decision about ending cannabis prohibition in their territory.
It was yesterday, when Uruguay, became the first country in the world, to fully legalize the cannabis industry, within their boundaries.  Uruguay's Senate, finally voted in favor of the new government-backed bill to legalize this herb and now, the citizens of this country, will be able to purchase weed legally very soon.
The government of Uruguay, will now be in charge of regulating the cultivation, the distribution and consumption of this herb, which is meant to take away this industry, from the criminal markets in this country.
The marijuana law in Uruguay, will begin on April 2014, which is a good month to start, as it includes the very famous 4/20 date.  The new law, will not allow people under 18, to purchase marijuana from the government and it will also limit its citizens to purchase 1.4 ounces of weed per month.
A drug control board, will also be created in Uruguay, so they can establish the prices and standards for selling this herb.  While these limits and regulations may not be what all of us expected, it certainly is a huge step towards legalization and we can only cheer for Uruguayans' decision to fully legalize marijuana in their country.
It is time for other countries to start doing the same and at Zip 420, we will continue to promote marijuana's benefits, until it is legal all over the world.  Please remember to share and like this blog post, so that more people can read about Uruguay's decision to make marijuana legal and to help promote this around the globe.  You should also subscribe to our free newsletter, by leaving us your email in the box to the right and we will make sure that you receive some interesting information about cannabis, right in your inbox.  You can also take a look at some of our older posts, by clicking here.

Joe Jonas Smoked Marijuana With Miley And Demi

Celebrities Smoke Marijuana With Each Other

It is not uncommon, for celebrities to be involved with cannabis and now, Joe Jonas, claims that Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, encouraged him to smoke some marijuana, when he was only a teenager.  Joe, who is part of the Jonas Brothers group, has admitted that he first tried this herb, when he was only a teenager and that some of his fellow Disney stars, encouraged him to do so.
New York Magazine, recently published in one of their articles, Joe's exact words, "the first time I smoked weed was with Demi (Lovato) and Miley (Cyrus)...They kept saying, 'Try it! Try it' so I gave it a shot, and it was all right.  I don't even smoke weed that often anymore."
According to Joe, most of Disney's stars are set to rebel at one point of their lives and he also said, "being part of the Disney thing for so long will make you want to be this perfect little puppet forever.  Eventually, I hit a limit and thought, screw all this, I'm just going to show people who I am.  I think that happened to a lot of us.  Disney kids are spunky in some way, and I think that's why Disney hires them...Five, six, 10 years later, they're like, 'Oh! What do we do?' Come on, guys.  You did this to yourselves."

Smoking Marijuana Is Not A Big Deal Anymore

Just as Joe Jonas came forth, many other celebrities are also admitting to having tried cannabis at some point of their lives and some, have even admitted that they love it.  As more celebrities, keep showing their love for cannabis, more people start trying it and also admit, that legalization is the best solution to this problem.
Cannabis has proven to be a medicine in many cases and it has also proven, to be a much safer recreational activity, than drinking or smoking tobacco is.  Just as Joe Jonas came forward with smoking marijuana, we should all start doing something to let others know, about the benefits of this herb and what legalization would do for our world.
Please remember to share and like this blog post, so that more people can read about the first time that Joe Jonas, smoked marijuana with Miley and Demi.  You can also subscribe to our free newsletter, by leaving us your email in the box to the right and we will send you more interesting information about marijuana and its legalization around the world.

A Jamaican Medical Marijuana Firm

Scientist Creates A New Medical Marijuana Firm In Jamaica

Just as many other entrepreneurs have done before, there are now people who are looking to get involved in the new marijuana industry and this is exactly what one famous Jamaican scientist is doing right now.  The name of this scientist is, Henry Lowe and he specializes in medial chemistry and he is also the chairman, of a company that uses plants to create medicines and other products.
Lowe, is now involved in a new enterprise and he is naming it "Madicanja". This new enterprise of his, will only focus in the medicinal purposes of cannabis and it will respect all current treaties and laws.
Cannabis, has been illegal in this part of the world, since 1913, but there are many advocates in Jamaica, who are currently trying to change this.  Many Jamaican citizens, believe that legalizing marijuana, will give their economy a huge boost and that this is one of the only things, which can get their country going.  People now believe, that entrepreneurs, should be able to invest in marijuana related businesses and that promoting this herb, will also increase tourism to this Caribbean Island.
According to Lowe's speech today, Jamaica could become one of the world's leading marijuana producers, which would also increase the country's tourism and provide its citizens, with tons of new jobs.  Lowe's ideas, are actually very smart and it is good to know, that entrepreneurs all over the world, are now trying to get involved in the cannabis industry.  This will help the legalization of cannabis become a reality and it will also help society, to have better quality marijuana at all times.
Medical marijuana enterprises, are sure to keep appearing in the next couple of years and it is very likely, that many of these, will become the powerhouse in this industry.  The people who are able to get some of these companies running, will not only be changing history, but they will also become part of it.
Please remember to share and like this blog post, so that more people can read about what Henry Lowe is doing in Jamaica and what any of us, could do in our own countries.  It is time to legalize cannabis and we need more entrepreneurs like Henry Lowe, in order to accomplish this.  You can also subscribe to our free mailing list, by leaving us your email in the box to the right and we will make sure that you receive more interesting information about cannabis in your inbox.

New Canadian Medical Cannabis Program Might Affect Poor People

Changes To The Medical Cannabis Program In Canada

Right now, more than 40000 Canadians, are already part of the medical marijuana program in this country and they are allowed to posses cannabis, within certain limits.  These people, have the right to purchase marijuana, from a licensed producer or they can grow it on their own, but this may change on April 2014, as the Canadian government, will most likely force these people to buy their medical cannabis, from a government regulated facility.
Canada's new "Marihuana for Medical Purposes" program, is meant to position this country, as one of the major cannabis producers in the world and it is also meant to gather lots of funds for the government.  While this new program in Canada, seems very useful for some, many of the already registered medical cannabis users, might not be able to purchase their medicine after April 2014, as the prices will be extremely high and not everyone will have the money to purchase their weed from the government facilities.
Some of these people, will have to continue growing their own medical cannabis at home or purchasing from old pot dealers, yet this will become illegal after April 2014 as well.  This will leave very few options for people who really do need marijuana as a medicine in Canada and who do not have enough money to purchase it legally from their government.
According to some of the people who work for Health Canada, the changes to the Marihuana Medical Access Program, are not meant to make it difficult for patients to get their herb, but they are being made, because some experts believe, it was "open to abuse".
Just like most things in our world, these new changes, also revolve around money, as the Canadian government believes, that the cannabis industry will bring in billions of dollars to their economy and could even help this country, to become one of the top medical weed exporters, around the globe.
Canadian towns, like Smiths Falls, which is a town of around 9000 people, are already getting some new weed factories and this proves, that the legalization of medical cannabis, is already taking place in this country.  Tweed, is one of these companies and they are now remodeling an old chocolate factory, to turn it into one of the best cannabis factories until now.
According to Chuck Rifici, who is the CEO of Tweed, "Canada might lead the way worldwide as we see other countries take similar regulatory moves as Canada has.  The regulations also allow for export once other countries will allow for import."
It seems as if governments around the world, now want to profit on medical cannabis, while they should simply allow everyone to grow their own stash and this would immediately solve tons of problems around the world.  It is time to legalize cannabis and we should all be able to afford some weed, once it is legal in our place of residence.
Please help us by sharing and liking this blog post, so that more people can learn about these new reforms in Canada.  You can also subscribe to our free newsletter, by leaving us your email in the box to the right and we will keep you informed about other interesting cannabis news.

Denver's Newspaper Has A New Marijuana Editor

New Marijuana Editor For The Denver Post

You should already know, that the State of Colorado, has legalized marijuana for both medicinal and recreational purposes. Now, the Denver Post, which is one of Colorado's most important newspaper, will keep its readers informed, not only about news, sports, entertainment and finances, but about marijuana as well.
The Denver Post, has recently hired a new editor, who will be in charge of publishing only cannabis related news to their daily editions and this is certainly a huge step towards legalizing marijuana worldwide.  Ricardo Baca, who was Denver Post's entertainment editor, has now been named the official marijuana editor for this newspaper and many are very excited about this.  Baca has already been working for this newspaper, for over a decade and while he admits that he is not a "stoner", he has also admitted to having smoked cannabis a few times in his life.
According to Kevin Dale, who is Denver Post's news director, marijuana will be the biggest news during 2014 and this is why, they decided to have a special editor, just for this topic.  While the Denver Post, has a "no drug" policy for their employees, the VP of Human Resources, as stated that they should "smoke responsibly" and cover all of the news related to this herb.
The VP's exact words about this were, "as with alcohol, you are not allowed to ingest (either via cigarettes or food) marijuana in the office or come to the office 'reeking' of marijuana. If you do imbibe marijuana in the course of covering it for your job, we expect you to take necessary steps to ensure you do not drive while impaired or put anyone at risk."
The Denver Post, has also announced, that they are looking to hire a freelancer for criticizing cannabis, a freelance columnist, to provide advice about marijuana and a freelance video game
writer, so they can cover the latest cannabis related video games and provide some useful information about them.
As you can see, the legalization of marijuana is taking place all over the world now and these new jobs at the Denver Post, can give us an idea of what we should expect in the future.  Please remember to share and like this blog post, so that more people can read about the new jobs at the Denver Post and get informed about the legalization of cannabis.  You can also subscribe to our free mailing list, by leaving us your email in the box to the right and we will keep you informed about the latest cannabis news.
