More People Are Considering To Vote In Favor Of Marijuana
There is no doubt that the marijuana legalization movements, is continuing to move forward and that it is doing it very fast. Today, we want to tell you about Oregon, which may also give its voters the opportunity to decide if they want marijuana to be legal for people over 21 years of age or not. Cannabis for recreational purposes, is being considered in Oregon now and we are pretty certain that people will decide to vote in favor of this new law.
It will be today at 2 PM, when New Approach Oregon, which is a campaign meant to promote the legalization of cannabis, will submit around 145000 signatures to Secretary of State's office, so the issue can be brought to a vote.
In order for this campaign to qualify, it requires 87,213 registered Oregon voters' signatures and as you can see, we are well above that number right now. The initiative, will give voters in Oregon, the opportunity to decide whether they want marijuana to be legal for recreational purposes or not.
Voters will also have a chance to decide if the Oregon Liquor Control Commission, should be in charge of legal marijuana, just as they have been regulating alcohol for some time now. A similar campaign was carried out in 2012, but it did not achieve its goals.
This year, it looks as if Oregon will get the chance to vote on whether or not cannabis should be legal for recreational purposes in their State and this shows that we are in fact getting closer to legalizing marijuana worldwide.
