Should You Take A Marijuana Tour In Colorado?

Is A Marijuana Tour In Colorado Really Worth It?

As you may already know, cannabis is now legal in the US State of Colorado and there are now some marijuana tours, which anyone over 21 years old can be part of and visit many cannabis dispensaries, clubs and other places involved with this herb.  The question here is, are these cannabis tours really worth your time and money or are you better off touring these places on your own?

While it may be true that traveling through a city that you barely know is sometimes hard, mobile technology has now made this very simple and there is no reason for you to get lost.  The web makes it very simple to find some of the hottest cannabis related public places in Colorado and this is why I do not believe that a marijuana tour is something that you should spend your money on.  I myself, prefer to travel and get to know places on my own, as this allows me to take my time each place and really visit the sites that I am interested in.

If you are travelling on your own, joining a cannabis tour in Colorado, may be a good idea, as you will have other people to party and smoke with, but if you are traveling with your couple or a group of friends, going to these cannabis places on your own, is a much better idea on my point of view.

You can find the information that you need on your own or simply talk to someone from Colorado, who also enjoys cannabis and you are set to go!!

Sometimes it might be a good idea to be part of a marijuana tour in Colorado, as they will eventually have access to event tickets and other places that tourists on their own will not get very easily and this is probably the only reason why I would consider being part of one of these tours in Colorado.

Bob Marley Marijuana Brand Coming Soon!!!

Bob Marley Will Get His Own Cannabis Brand

Even after death, Bob Marley is still one of the most popular artists around the world and marijuana activists that there has been.  Now, some of Marley's family members, have decided to use his name, to promote the legal marijuana market in the United States and the world, by selling Bob Marley cannabis.

Privateer Holdings, will be launching "Marley Natural" in late 2015.  Cedella Marley, who is Bob Marley's daughter, stated:
"My dad would be so happy to see people understanding the healing power of the herb.  He viewed the herb as something spiritual that could awaken our well-being, deepen our reflection, connect us to nature and liberate our creativity.  Marley Natural is an authentic way to honor his legacy, by adding his voice to the conversation about cannabis and helping end the social harms caused by prohibition."

The new brand, will include Jamaican marijuana strains and their herbs, will not be grown with fertilizer, which is what Bob Marley preferred.

It is nice to see that Marley's name will still be a part of the modern marijuana movement and we are pretty certain that the organic cannabis and marijuana products that Marley Natural will be selling, is going to be out of this world.

Should Marijuana Users Worry About Their Job?

What Do Employers Think About Cannabis Users

Whether you are a medical or recreational marijuana user, you might be thinking about what your rights are at work and what your employer might think, if they find out that you consume cannabis.

Today, marijuana's regulation momentum is building up and believe it or not, there are still some employers who might take some actions,  against people who consume marijuana.

Although medical marijuana is now legal in 21 States of the US and recreational cannabis is legal in four, there are still some murky laws and regulations out there.  An example of this is Brandon Coats, who is a medical marijuana user and has a card from the State of Colorado, as he is a quadriplegic.

Coats used to work for Dish Network, but he was fired from his job, because his employers found out that he consumed marijuana.  While he claims that he was never under the influence of this herb at work, we still believe that the company should not have fired him, as this is a medicine that he needs and makes him feel better.  He probably performed better at work, thanks to marijuana, too!

Cases like this, should no longer be happening and this is why you should still be careful about letting your employer know about you consuming cannabis, as you never know how they might react.  I am certain that there are many employers out there, who understand the value of marijuana as a medicine and some that might even respect recreational marijuana users.

We need to regulate cannabis in a way that benefits every one and the countries and States of the US, which have already taken actions towards this, will soon let us know how beneficial it is to change marijuana prohibitionist laws.

Please remember to share and like this post, so that more people can read about what some employers think about cannabis users and to let other knows, that they still need to be careful about this.  You should also sign up for our free newsletter, so we can send you more interesting news about marijuana, directly to your inbox.

New York City Changes Its Marijuana Laws

NYC Allows Possession Of Cannabis

It was this Monday, when Mayor de Blasio and NYPD Chief Bill Bratton, decided to announce that the marijuana laws in New York City will be very different, after November 19th of this year.  According to them, after this date, people who are caught with 25 grams of cannabis or less, will only be getting a ticket and will not be arrested, like they have been doing so, for the past few decades.

This hopefully will be true, as of today, many people living in the poorest neighborhoods and colored people in NYC, are still being arrested by some cops, when they ask them to empty their pockets and find some marijuana on them.

After November 19th, this should not happen again and even the Chief of the NYPD, decided to show a Ziploc bag, which he claimed was 25 grams of oregano, in order to show people what the limited amount of marijuana in NYC will be.

This is yet another huge step towards marijuana regulation and if police departments respect these new laws, we will soon see an entirely different world.

When Will The US Federal Government Regulate Marijuana?

Is It Time To Regulate Marijuana?

Today, almost half of the States in the US, have started working towards the regulation of cannabis in their territories and we can only ask, when will the federal government follow? Earlier this week, we wrote about some of the States that were looking to change their cannabis laws and now, we want to tell you a little more about these results.

Oregon and Alaska, decided that it is time for them to take cannabis regulation a step further and they voted in favor of allowing their citizens to consume marijuana for recreational purposes, just like it happened in Colorado and Washington State, a while ago.

DC, accepted a new proposal, for decriminalizing the possession of small amounts of marijuana and Florida, also passed a bill, where it will allow its citizens to get a medical prescription for using cannabis as medicine.

As you can see, the four States that were voting on regulating marijuana or not, all decided to change their current laws and regulate cannabis.  It is time for the US Federal Government and all countries around the world, to regulate this herb and change the prohibition views on cannabis, as these have not provided any positive results at all.

Tomorrow Is An Important Day For Marijuana Regulation

Voting Yes On Marijuana

November 4th, 2014, will certainly be an important date in the history of cannabis regulation, as four States in the US, are voting on whether to decriminalize this plant for medicinal or recreational purposes.

If some of the marijuana proposals in these States are accepted, the current momentum for cannabis regulation will gain more strength and it should not be long, until we see other States and countries around the world doing the same.  Many people have their eyes on these States right now and at Zip 420, we can only hope that voters make the right decision and approve the marijuana proposals that were made this year.

Here is a little more about the States that could legalize cannabis very soon and how likely it is that they do:

  1. D.C - Fully legalize marijuana - It is very likely that this will happen
  2. Oregon - Fully legalize cannabis - It is probable that this will happen
  3. Alaska - Fully legalize marijuana - 50-50 chance that this will happen
  4. Florida - Legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes - It is uncertain what will happen
If you live in one of these States and are planning to vote tomorrow, remember that cannabis is a medicine for millions of people out there and that it is just a past time for others.  Marijuana is less dangerous than alcohol and tobacco, which means it should also be regulated and available to all those people who need it or decide that they want to consume it.

We want cannabis legalized and so should you!
